The ballet “Don Quixote” is one of the great legacies of the choreographer Marius Petipa, who debuted in 1869 in Russia. Based on episodes of “Don Quixote de La Mancha” by Miguel de Cervantes, alternates between a realistic and popular nature, with the world of fantasy and dream. In 1900, Alexander Gorski presented his version with choreographic and musical alterations. It is from the version of Gorski that Eric Volodine builds his debut version at the CNB in 1990 and now returns to the scene.
