1st Edition of the Jardins do Marquês Festival – Oeiras Valley postponed to 2021

NEW DATES: 1 to 7 July 2021

“When last December we announced the birth of Jardins do Marquês – Oeiras Valley, we could not assume that the enthusiasm for giving birth to a new concept of Music Festival would, a few months later, be replaced by uncertainty and waiting.”

In a press release sent to the editorial staff of portugalinews.eu, the organization also adds, we followed closely the national and international evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, which placed the world in a new and absolutely unexpected context. For the respect and sense of responsibility towards our audience and towards all the professionals involved in the Festival – artists, technical and production teams, our sponsors and partners, and all our staff -, we did not give up and waited while it was possible, continuing to work diligently for the dates originally envisaged.

Following the approval of the Portuguese Government’s draft law that establishes exceptional and temporary measures to respond to the COVID-19 disease pandemic in the cultural and artistic field, and the rules defined by the Directorate-General for Health now known, the conditions are not met. to carry out the Festival this year in the format envisaged, namely with regard to the capacity of the space and the gastronomic experience that is part of the Festival’s concept, factors which add to the restrictions on the mobility of international artists, causing us to postpone the 1st edition of the Gardens do Marquês – Oeiras Valley for the 1st to 7th of July 2021.

Tickets already purchased are valid for new dates, and there is no need to exchange or issue a new ticket. In case of unavailability, Law No. 19/2020 of 29 May, now published, guarantees the reimbursement of the ticket value through the issuance of a voucher of equal value to the price paid. All information is available on the Festival’s official website.

We remain even stronger and more motivated to make the 1st edition next year, a truly unique and memorable moment, and we are already working to maintain the poster for the new dates in 2021. We will give you news as soon as possible.

For now, follow all directions from the health authorities and stay safe.

In July 2021, the idyllic Gardens of the Palace of the Marquis of Pombal in Oeiras will be more than ready to receive the dream of 7 summer nights!
