Kimi Djabaté is a Guinean musician, born in Tabato in 1975. The musician is considered one of the contemporary connections to the precious heritage of the traditional griot music that emerges with his ancestors in the Western region of Africa. In 2005, he released his first solo album, “Teriké”, and in 2009, his second album, “Karam”, signed by the American publisher Cumbancha. Since then Kimi Djabaté has been presented with excellent criticism from the International press (Billboard, Financial Times, Boston Globe, among others).
In 2016, he released his third album, “Kanamalu”.
