A review of tourism in the Algarve in June 2020

In relation to the data for 2019, the month of June 2020 presented the following variations in accommodation units in the Algarve:

The average global occupancy rate/room was 10.3%, 68.9 percentage points below the value registered in 2019.

The national market was the one that presented the smallest decrease, (-58.7%), having represented 82.7 % of total overnight stays.

Sales volume decreased by 81.2% compared to the same month of the previous year.

In accumulated values, bed occupancy has registered an average decrease of -66.7% since January and sales volume decreased by -49, 6%.
