When in July 2017 Santiago Hotel reopened under the management of DHM – Discovery Hotel Management – it became a hotel unit dedicated to culinary and gastronomic experiences.
Located near the Alentejo coast, just 17 kilometers from the beaches, this hotel was intended to be a huge kitchen, where guests could watch every moment of the cooking of their À TERRA restaurant.
In 2018 the next step was taken. It started by organizing some cooking classes for guests and non-guests, and founded Santiago Cooking Academy – with two-day masterclasses where participants can deepen their knowledge of a gastronomic theme and have moments of interaction with both products. as with the chef.
A monthly agenda is organized that brings together all these culinary experiences: from Santiago Cooking Academy themed weekends to short classes – which may or may not be included in the price of the stay, but are always open to outside guests.
