A painting exhibition by Adriana Proganó, in which the artist explores the lack of control of emotions and behaviors, will be inaugurated on Thursday at Galeria da Boavista, in Lisbon.
Titled “Bad Behavior“, the exhibition is curated by Sara Antónia Matos and Pedro Faro, and will open at 6 pm on Thursday, and will be open until November 24 this year.
Several oil paintings on canvas are presented, in an original montage animated by various decorative and scenographic elements, namely a ‘carpet work’ and a ‘stair work’.
His paintings are inhabited by figures in seemingly unusual or unconventional positions, often with open legs and raised skirts, challenging scruples and social indecency.
Of Portuguese-Italian nationality, Adriana Proganó was born in 1992, in Switzerland, and lives and works in Caldas da Rainha.
Graduated in Fine Arts from the Caldas da Rainha School of Arts and Design (ESAD), in 2017, she developed painting studies at Accademia di Belli Arti in Venice, during 2015 and 2016.
