The event aims to raise awareness of the fight against the pandemic, but also to say that, in many areas, nothing will ever be the same, and culture will have to play its role in the aftermath.
In addition to Youssou N’Dour, Angélique Kidjo, Fally Ipupa, Jimmy Cli, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Salif Keïta, Jocelyne Béroard and Jacob Desvarieux (Kassav ‘) are some of the artists who will participate in the festivities.
According to the organization, the virtual concert will be broadcast free during prime time on social networks and, in partnership with African Union Broadcasting, on almost 200 national and private channels in the continent and its diaspora.
