The national team of handball suffered a hard defeat before their counterpart, by 33-24, but continues to a point of reaching the final phase of the Euro-2020.

However, on Sunday afternoon in Strasbourg, the story told at the Multipurpose Pavilion in Guimarães was not repeated, and the National Team returned to a normal result, taking into account the past against the Gauls [in 32 meetings: 29 defeats, two wins and one draw].
At the 33rd meeting between the two teams, Portugal was defeated by 33-24, and they failed to qualify for the 2020 European Championship.
It is recalled that the pupils of Paulo Jorge Pereira are only one point of guaranteeing this qualification, something that can be assured on June 12, when the formation of the teams against Romania.
