Alexandra Moura goes international with fashion show in Milan

Portuguese fashion designer Alexandra Moura continues to focus on internationalization, once again integrating the official calendar of Milan fashion week, which runs until the 24th in Italy, and being present in ‘showrooms’ in Paris.

Alexandra Moura, who one year ago became the first Portuguese woman to join the official calendar of Milan Fashion Week, presents, on Monday, in the Italian fashion capital, the ‘Nu Mistura’ collection, for the winter 2020/2021.

Alexandra Moura’s first two appearances, in January and September of last year, in the official Milan calendar took place with the support of Portugal Fashion, within the scope of actions to promote Portuguese fashion in international fashion weeks of that project of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE).

However, Portugal Fashion suspended the international actions of this season, as it did not receive a timely reply (…) to the application submitted within the scope of European support, ANJE president José José told Lusa in January Pedro Freitas.

The fashion designers who are usually invited to the international fashion weeks were notified in the 4th quarter of 2019, when the (ANJE) management made the decision, given that there is still no response regarding the application displayed .

The decision to keep the parade is related to the internationalization work that has been done and “is already bearing fruit”. Alexandra Moura stresses that this work has been not only the parade in Milan, but also the presence in ‘showrooms’ in Paris, both in the week of Men and in the week of Women.
