Applications are now open for the 4th Edition of the Technological Innovation Award in Portugal, the Altice International Innovation Award (AIIA) promoted by Altice Labs of Altice Portugal.

Until September 30, companies can submit their candidacy for the competition, which aims to “reinforce Portugal’s position in the development of innovation, boosting national talent and spreading it inside and outside the doors”, the company said in a statement.

AIIA thus promotes the competitiveness of entrepreneurs and startups, but also masters and doctoral students in academic institutions in Portugal.

At stake is a prize of 50 thousand euros for the winner of the Startups category, as well as the possibility of completing a pilot (proof of concept) with Grupo Altice, with a minimum duration of 9 months. The winner of the Academy category receives a prize of 25 thousand euros.

This initiative has been partnered, for the third consecutive year, by the National Innovation Agency (ANI), which will award the Born From Knowledge award to the finalist project that results from research and development activities, and in this way enhance the national scientific and technological knowledge.
