Angola resumes sports competitions from 27 June

The Angolan Government approved today the declaration of the state of public calamity, with new rules of prevention and containment of the pandemic of covid-19, that foresee a gradual process of return to the normality of social life.

As of June 27, official training and sports activities are authorized, while collective sporting activities for recreation and leisure can be resumed on July 13.

The hours of individual sports practice are extended between Monday and Friday, from 5:30 am to 7:30 am and from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, individual sports can be done between 05:30 and 19:30.

The rules for the gyms will be defined in a specific diploma, as well as the presence of spectators, which also has no provision.

The practice of physical and sporting activities in a non-competitive context and outdoors can be carried out, as long as a minimum distance of two meters between people is ensured, for activities that take place side by side.
