Another edition of Barreiro’s centenary parties comes to an end

Barreiro’s festivities ended last Sunday after 10 days of celebration and conviviality.

The 2019 edition of the Barreiro Festivities in Honor of Nossa Senhora do Rosário ended last weekend, August 18, after a large poster.

This year the parties have completely surpassed last year’s edition with a grand poster featuring national and international artists.

The poster for this edition featured David Carreira, Calema, Bruno Nogueira and Manuela Azevedo with “Deixem o Pimba em Paz”, Cuca Roseta, DJ Kamala, Jimmy P, Emanuel, Moonspell, Chico Moreno and Barbara Bandeira on the main stage, Palco das Marés.

Beyond the main stage there were two more secondary stages, the Youth Spot and the Motoclube Stage.

The Youth Spot is one of the secondary stages featuring an eclectic and “alternative” schedule to end each summer night on Avenida Bento Gonçalves with a privileged view of the river.

This stage featured names such as Allen Halloween, Minguito, D´Alva, Human Taranja, DJ Firmeza, Octavinho, Simply Rockers Sound System, Kyra Band, Strada, Clemente and others.

The Barreiro Motoclube featured a stage where you could enjoy bands like MCB Band, The Rockers, Klassicos and Nuggyland while sipping a beer.

There was also a religious program and a manifestation of faith where thousands of people watched, with emotion, the traditional Solemn Procession in honor of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, on the afternoon of August 15, through the streets of the city center.

At the party, in addition to music, there were also over 70 arts and craft stalls, taverns and bars, a family sports program, guided mill tours and much more!

The festivities of Barreiro were, once again, an Eco Event.

This Amarsul “green” program is a project co-financed by POSEUR consisting of the intervention of specialized awareness teams to increase recycling in the events and includes the provision of support. for reclaimable bags and waste collection facilities.
