Apple may launch Mac with facial recognition

Since the iPhone X, Apple has sought to invest in the Face ID facial recognition system, integrating it into virtually all of its mobile devices.

The publication claims to have seen references to Face ID in the next version of the macOS operating system, Big Sur, where the system is referred to by the name “PearlCamera”.

Other references to Face ID were also found in iOS, all signs that Apple is working on a version of the system for its Macs.

Apple tends to take advantage of its September event to unveil new products, including new Mac models.
