Association of Hotel Directors of Portugal postpones Congress to October

Following the national effort to contain the new Coronavirus, COVID-19 and in line with the guidelines of the General Directorate of Health and the Government of Portugal, the Association of Hotel Directors will postpone the holding of its XVI National Congress with a date set for 2nd of April, passing the same for the 15th to 17th of October, at Évora Hotel.

The Congress program will not change and the delivery of the Xenios 2020 – Awards for Excellence Hotels, will take place on October 15th during the Congress Gala dinner that will take place at the Hotel Convento do Espinheiro in Évora.

The ADHP Management that makes public the thanks to all the speakers and sponsors of the event, for understanding in face of this decision that results from the turbulent times that we are living in, as well as to the Alentejo Tourism Region in the person of its President, António Ceia da Silva.

For Raúl Ribeiro Ferreira, President of ADHP “the Board of our association will monitor the national situation vis-à-vis COVID-19 on a daily basis and is committed to supporting better decision-making in all national hotel units as it is aware of the economic impact of the pandemic in the hotel and tourism sector of our country ”.
