The Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP) announced, in the form of a statement issued through the official platforms earlier this Friday afternoon, that it decided to extend the suspension of the world circuit until next July 31.
This means that the tournaments scheduled for Hamburg, Bastad, Newport, Los Cabos, Gstaad, Umag, Atlanta and Kitzbuhel will not go as scheduled. A measure that also applies to the ATP Challenger Tour and the events of the ITF World Tennis Tour.
“We continue to evaluate all options for resuming the circuit as soon as it is safe to do so, including the feasibility of rescheduling events later in the season. As always, the health and well-being of the tennis community and the public remains as the top priority in every decision we make “
