The Palmela plant will have an investment of 103 million euros, announced Autoeuropa.
The amount will be invested in the modernization of the logistics operation and in the increase of production capacity, the company announced on its website and on the “Linked in” network.
Autoeuropa says, “Investing in the factory is investing in our people, in our region and in our country. With the new cut line in the presses and the automation of the internal logistics warehouse, we accelerate the future“.
Volkswagen Autoeuropa is the largest foreign investment in Portugal, produced 254,600 multi-brand vehicles in 2019. And it is one of the engines of Portuguese exports and has attracted other companies to settle in Palmela, especially those linked to the automotive industry.
