The Bank of Portugal (BdP) will put into circulation another coin collection. The currency will be in circulation on May 8 and serves to mark the “500 Years of the 1st Tour of Circum-Navegação de Fernão de Magalhães”.

The distribution to the public will be made through Banco de Portugal’s credit and treasury institutions, similarly to what happens whenever the supervisor presents a new collection coin.

The emission limit of 500,000 coins with the normal finish was defined, according to the supervisor.

Those interested in acquiring the currency must fill in a form of their own, identifying and discriminating, by designation and face value, the amount of commemorative currency they wish to acquire.
