This Sunday morning, we will awaken the musical taste of the youngest with some of the most emblematic works of these extraordinary names that have marked the history of music. To start, the excerpt from Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, one of the best-known works in the Western repertoire, considered a predecessor of romantic music and one of the great masterpieces of this which is one of the greatest figures of the composition.
In this commented concert, the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra will present, among others, guidelines such as Strauss II’s “Waltz of the Emperor”, the first of Brahms’ famous Hungarian dances, and Dvořák’s “New World Symphony”, a hymn to the discovery of new worlds and cultures.
