Benfica beat Fundão and play futsal cup final with Sporting

Benfica, the record holder in the competition, qualified for the 13th time for the Portuguese Cup final in futsal, defeating Fundão 2-1 with three goals in the second half in Gondomar.

Tiago Brito and Robinho sealed the win of Joel Rocha’s ‘five’, who will face Sporting title holder 3-2 against the Burinhosa in the first semi-final in the final, while Mário Freitas reduced.

The ‘incarnates’ add up to seven trophies but have lost all three of their finals against the ‘lions’, who have won six times in the competition, 9-5 in 2005/06, 3-2, after extra time in 2010/11 by 4-2 in 2015/16.
