Bon Iver, the American folk band led and founded by Justin Vernon, presents the new album “i, i” on April 15th at the Altice Arena.
The first part of this concert will be in charge of Aaron Dessner’s Big 37d03d Machine, the collective that emerged through a digital platform, composed by a group of artists, led by Justin Vernon, Bon Iver and Aaron Dessner of The National.
According to Bon Iver, the band’s fourth album “i, i” and these 13 new songs complete a cycle: from the winter of “For Emma, Forever Aug” came the frenetic spring of “Bon Iver, Bon Iver” and the wild summer. from “22, A Million“. Now autumn comes early with “i, i“.
Sean Carey, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Mike Lewis, Matt McCaughan and Justin Vernon with Rob Moose and Jenn Wasner were featured in the recording sessions.
The album also features contributions from James Blake, BJ Burton, Brad and Philip Cook, Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Trever Hagen, Zach Hanson, Chance Leaneagh, Rob Moose, Naeem, Velvet Negroni, Buddy Ross, Marta Salogni, Francis Starlite, Moses Sumney and members of TU Dance.
All three albums have been widely praised by critics and fans alike, with many of the themes playing on major radio stations worldwide, such as “Skinny Love”, “Holocene” or “33‘ God ’”.
With just three studio works, Bon Iver has collected two Grammy Awards in the “Best Alternative Music Album” and “Best New Artist” categories.
