It is a measure implemented with the objective of mitigating the difficulties experienced by families in situations of poverty and social exclusion with regard to access to housing, especially during the current situation in the country, which has accentuated the fragility of social cohesion and the socioeconomic balance of families most exposed to different factors of vulnerability, such as separation processes, creating situations of single parenting, chronic illness and acquired disability/incapacity, among others.
The Municipal Emergency Fund to Support Housing Leasing is, therefore, a quick and transitory response to difficulties in accessing housing, through the attribution of an income subsidy, when it is not possible to rent in social housing, promoting the permanence of families in the properties where they live and their social integration and in the urban fabric, without changing the neighborhood dynamics, the solidarity networks and the different trajectories of their daily lives.
Lease support is provided in the form of a monthly rent allowance, from the month of the allocation decision until December 31, 2020.
