The musician and producer Branko publishes in March the second album, “Nosso”, that will present in a series of performances from February in Portugal and in several stages of Europe, was announced today.
‘Nosso’, which follows the ‘Atlas’ of 2015, is scheduled to be released on March 1st, and today the theme ‘Hear from you’ was announced, with the participation of producer Sango and singer Cosima.
According to information on the official page, Branko will present the new album on February 28 at B.Leza, in Lisbon, followed by a series of performances over the next weeks between Portuguese and foreign clubs and clubs.
On March 1, the musician will be at Razzmatazz in Barcelona, on the 2nd at Maus Habits, in Porto, on the 8th at The Jazz Café in London, and the next day at The Sugar Club in Ireland.
There are also performances in Berlin, Stockholm, Lund, Bern, Vienna, Castelo Branco, Aveiro, and Braga.
About ‘Nosso’, Branko told the American magazine Rolling Stone that he used the Lisbon music scene as a “starting point for all the songs on the album. Be it for the instruments and the beats, everything was born of a genre in the Portuguese language universe “.
Branko, or João Barbosa, is a musician, producer, DJ, publisher, named after the most recent scene of electronic music and dance in Lisbon, with points of connection with lusophone music and on a global scale.
Two of the bridges of this work were the creation of the Buraka Som Sistema and the publishing company Enchufada, to which are associated names like Rastronaut, Riot, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Dotorado Pro and PEDRO.
In 2015 he edited the first album, ‘Atlas’, which resulted from a trip through several cities in search of a new sound in electronic music.
At the time, João Barbosa was in Amsterdam, São Paulo, New York, Cape Town, and Lisbon, in recordings with more than twenty artists, to compose a kind of musical map with the latest music born in an urban environment.
