By the end of the year will be launched six more competitions for program Revive

The Deputy Minister of Economy said today that “until the end of this year” will be launched six more competitions of the program Revive, which aims at the valuation of buildings with high heritage and cultural value.

Pedro Siza Vieira spoke in the joint commission on Budget, Finance and Administrative Modernization and Economy, Innovation and Public Works, within the framework of the appreciation, in speciality, of the State Budget for 2019 (OE2019).

The Revive program, he recalled, “has until the end of this legislature” to launch 33 projects for the valorization of buildings of high heritage and cultural value.

“There are already nine contests for Revive, by the end of this year there will be six more competitions for such emblematic buildings” such as the Convent of San Francisco in Portalegre, Carmo Quarters, Horta, Paço Real in Caxias, the Graça Convent in Lisbon, the Convent of the Monasteries of Arouca and Lorvão or the Convent of Carmo in Moura, said Pedro Siza Vieira.

“In addition, the Government will also launch a Revive Nature program that will seek to value nature tourism through the valuation of equipment located in our rural landscape,” added the minister, who stressed that it is necessary “to recognize that the process of development and growth must benefit the whole territory. ”

The minister defended the need for “regional imbalances to be resolved”, pointing out that the Government has as priority “territorial cohesion”.
