Capitão Fausto in Campo Pequeno with the Beiras Orchestra

With their eyes on the future, Capitão Fausto ends the year with the announcement of a special concert on March 7, 2020, at Campo Pequeno, in Lisbon, which will include the participation of the Filarmonia das Beiras Orchestra. The date, for which tickets can already be purchased, happens to 11 concerts, in theaters and with the traditional formation of the band, during the months of January and February.

The ambitious format that Captain Fausto takes to Campo Pequeno also marks the passage of a year on the edition of their fourth album of originals, “A Invenção do Dia Claro”, which appears on the main lists of the best national records for the specialized press. In 2019, the recognition was also translated into the award of the Golden Globe in the category of Best Performer, in more than 50 concerts from north to south of the country, passing through Rock In Rio Brasil, and in the celebration of its 10 years of existence.

Four albums later, the charismatic musical personality of Tomás, Salvador, Francisco, Manuel and Domingos joins the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, composed of 48 string, wind and percussion musicians – of different nationalities and with a very young age average -, whose artistic direction and arrangements for this show is the responsibility of Maestro Martim Sousa Tavares and the band.
