The Cascais Village Market welcomes the summer of September with the 5th edition of the Handcrafted Beer Market.
From August 30 until September 2, Cascais afternoons have another flavor, being possible to choose from more than 150 varieties of Portuguese artisanal beer.
With more than 70 thousand visitors in four editions, the Beer Handicraft Market counts this year with the presence of 21 brewers from north to south of the country and with some new features, such as the beers Aldeana do Montijo, Piratas Cervejeiros da Amadora, Biltre do Porto , Lynx of Lisbon, Nortada do Porto, Sadina of Setúbal, Gallas of Lisbon, among many more.
Cascais’s classic Beer Deck, Vila Verde’s Letter, Bolina da Azambuja, Pombal’s Rolls Beer, Sintra’s Duck Brewery, Topaz and Onix de Coimbra could not be missed, as well as BeerCascais International Beers, the permanent establishment of the Market which sells dozens of brands from around the world.
To accompany the events, visitors will have at their disposal a wide variety of snacks in street food versions, such as Meat in Fire, Maria Wrust the KurtosKalacks, Los compadres of the Line, Legend Hot Dog, Nails Casquinha and the Tremoçaria. The greediest ones can count on farturas, churros and waffles for dessert.
Admission is free and the entertainment is guaranteed with different live performances, which pay tribute to great international and national bands. On Thursday, Bryan Adams takes to the stage of the Market by the voice of Reckless; Friday, it’s Pearl Jam, through PearBand; Saturday, the Coolplay bring Coldplay and on Sunday, it is the turn of the tribute to the Xutos and Pontapés. All concerts start at 9:30 p.m.
As it has happened in the last years, the tasting of the beers requires a personalized mug (3,50 €) or glass (2,50 €), that can be acquired at the entrance of the event.
