Casino Lisboa debuts “A Peça Que Dá Para o Torto”

Casino Lisboa opens on February 12th, at 9:30 pm, “A Peça Que Dá para o Torto”.

It is a comedy full of moments of good humour that promises to win viewers from the first minute. With a luxurious cast, this hilarious cycle of performances is renewed, from Wednesday to Sunday, in the Auditorium of the Oceans.

A Peça Que Dá para o Torto” debuted in London 5 years ago and has passed, returned or is still passing through more than 30 countries, from all continents except Antarctica because it is feared that it is too cold: Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Argentina, Hungary, France, Poland, Turkey, Australia, Japan, Finland, Greece, China, Israel, Romania, Chile, Norway, Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, Iceland, Belgium, Croatia, Korea, Estonia, Peru, Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic, India, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Russia South Africa, Mexico. Not to mention the United States, both on Broadway and off-Broadway, which is worth two!

He has already won very important prizes: On Broadway in 2017: Tony for best Scenography, Audience Choice of Broadway.com for New Theater Show, Broadway World for Best New Theater Show, Broadway World for Best Sound Design and Best Stage. In 2016 he won the Critics’ Award for Best Commercial Production (Hungary), Haldun Dormen Special for Best Comedy or Musical (Turkey) and Molière for Best Comedy (France). When it opened in 2015 in England it won Olivier for Best New Comedy, Broadway World England for Best New Theater Show and WhatsOnStage for Best New Comedy.

A Peça Que Dá Para o Torto” arrives in Portugal to win the Golden Globe in all categories. This comedy has translation and adaptation by Nuno Markl and interpretation by Alexandre Carvalho, Cristóvão Campos, Igor Regalla, Inês Castel-Branco, Joana Pais de Brito, Miguel Thiré, Telmo Mendes and Telmo Ramalho, staged by Hannah Sharkey and resident staged by Frederico Corado.

The text is by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields. It’s a format that replicates the show “Ridiculously fun.” (The Times) and “A technical triumph.” (Time Out) with comments like “For a moment I thought I was going to hyperventilate.” (Daily Mai) or “We laughed until tears flowed through us. man.” (Joanna Lumley)
