This Saturday, at ‘Beer Bouquet for Enologists’.
Seminar results from a partnership between the School of Biotechnology and the company “Amazing Brewmastery”
The University of Porto’s Catholic School of Biotechnology (ESB) promotes the ‘Beer Bouquet for Enologists’ seminar this Saturday, December 15, during which participants will be challenged to taste three styles of beer and three pairings. The initiative is taught by Beatriz Carvalho, with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), which also has a degree in Science and Technology Brewing in the Catholic University of Porto. The specialist holds a two-year career in the brewing industry – which includes collaboration with the Super Bock Group – and Beer Sommelier by Doemens Academy and Beer Judge BJCP – Beer Judge Certification Program and beer consultant at ‘Amazing Brewsmastery’.
At this level, the Higher School of Biotechnology also has in its launch in this area, the course ‘Beer Styles for Beginners – Imagine Understanding Beer Sherlves’, which will take place on February 25, 2019. All information is available in www.esb.ucp.pt.
It should be noted that the course is intended for former postgraduate students in Enology of the Higher School of Biotechnology, professionals in the area and the sector, namely catering and also marketing alumni. The ‘Beer Bouquet for Enologists’ runs from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the institution’s Asprela campus.
