The Adega Portalegre Winery is a winery medal in the largest wine competition in the world with the Conventual Tinto 2017 wine, in the last edition of the Decanter World Wine Awards, one of the most important wine competitions in the world.
With the medals attributed by the greatest experts in wines, in this edition of 2019 evaluated about 17 thousand wines, from 57 countries, gave 89 points to Portuguese wine Conventual Tinto 2017.
One with a sale price of 3.49 €, with a fruity aroma, the predominance of ripe red fruits, with a soft flavour, ideal as an accompaniment of poultry, red meat and Italian cuisine, and should be served at ambient temperatures of 16º to 18ºC.
Produced from grapes of the vine varieties Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet, of vineyards of altitude in the region of Portalegre.
The Adega Portalegre Winery was founded in 1954 and is part of the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park. It has always been distinguished by the quality and originality of its wines, distributed by Companhia Espirituosa. Different wines from the rest by the use of grapes from very old vines, more than 70 years old, that are at an altitude between 600 and 700 meters with numerous national and international prizes, for 60 years.
