The Brazilian Football Confederation decided to perform without an audience at the stadium in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo due to the coronavirus.
It was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation that so many games in the Rio de Janeiro championship, as well as the São Paulo championship that takes place this weekend ahead, will be held behind closed doors, a decision that has not yet been determined.
Based on the instructions of the Ministry of Health of Brazil, which recommended the cancellation or postponement of football matches, or if it is not possible, the performance without fans in the game.
The Brazilian Football Confederation, therefore, decided to ban the games in the two cities with confirmed coronavirus cases from the public.
The games affected in the Rio de Janeiro championship are Flamengo led by Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus – Portuguesa, Botafogo – Bangu, Vasco da Gama – Fluminense and Madureira – Volta Redonda, while São Paulo – Santos will be played behind closed doors in São Paulo – Santos led by Jesualdo Ferreira and Corinthians – Ituano.
