At Ponte Lima, on August 13, the singer will take her mornas and coladeiras. This concert takes place within the scope of the Ponte de Lima is “Uma Surpresa” project.
And on the September 5 it will be the turn of the drying yard of the Fábrica da Pólvora de Barcarena, in Oeiras, to receive Cremilda Medina, on a journey through the traditional rhythms of Cape Verde.
With a lulling voice, Cremilda Medina sings with a full heart and in every song, all the emotion and identity of Cape Verde overflow.
The album “Folclore” has compositions by great names of traditional Cape Verdean music, as is the case of Morgadinho, Paulino Vieira, Manuel d’Novas and Ti Goi.
In this album, Cremilda Medina also ventures into a samba, with a composition by João Carlos Silva and a fado, by the Angolan writer José Eduardo Agualusa.
The album consists of original themes and re-recorded of the true essence of traditional Cape Verdean music, with the main highlight being the morna and coladeira.
