Cristiano Ronaldo flies and takes Juventus to victory

Portuguese international scored the goal that sealed Vecchia Signora’s victory over Sampdoria.

Juventus have risen to provisional leadership in the Italian league on Wednesday by visiting and beating Sampdoria 1-2 at Luigi Ferraris stadium in Genoa in an early match on matchday 17.

A game in which Alex Sandro was one of the prominent figures, right after 19 minutes, when he made the long pass for Paulo Dybala’s shot that opened the scoring.

After 35 minutes, the former FC Porto player was in the spotlight again … but for the worst reasons, offering the ball with which Gianluca Caprari took the opportunity to restore equality.

But the Brazilian international was not let down and, in one of the last plays before the curfew, crossed to Cristiano Ronaldo, who, with a ‘monstrous’ impulse, headed to the bottom of the net.

With this triumph, Juventus now have 42 points, three more than second-placed Inter Milan, who have a game in hand. As for Sampdoria, which remains with 15 points, falls to 17th position.
