Cut Copy present new album with two concerts in Portugal

Cut Copy comes to Portugal with two confirmed dates for March 2021. March 23 at Hard Club, in Porto, and March 24 at Coliseu de Lisboa.

Australians bring the sixth album “Freeze, Melt” to Portuguese lands, which will be released on August 21st this year, which includes the already released singles “Like Breaking Glass”, “Love is All We Share” and “Cold Water”.

“Like Breaking Glass” evokes in a particular way the group’s excellent music, emerging from it the high quality sounds and the unmistakable vocal skills of the singer, Dan Whitford, who, according to himself, “it is about the conflicted feelings of a relationship that has begun to unravel. Where sometimes against all logic, you discover that affections run deep just as a break up becomes inevitable. It was also one of my favorite songs working in the studio with the band when we crafted the middle section of the song comprising of weird delay effects, off-beat drum hits and metallic clangs where Mitchell was throwing a box of metal objects around the room, and we stood there recording him”

Cut Copy are, without a doubt, the perfect marriage between electro-pop aesthetics, with the sensitivity of an indie rock band, and that is what makes them unique.

For all these reasons, six albums later and 10 years of a brilliant career, Cut Copy managed in a very intelligent way to develop their sounds without ever failing to perfect them. The themes of the new album are some of the most captivating and cunning that they have ever recorded, while, sonically, they are an adventure that everyone wants to experience.
