DHM establishes partnership with AMI, Comunidade Vida e Paz and Portuguese Red Cross

DHM – Discovery Hotel Management, a hotel management brand created within the Discovery Portugal Fund, has established an important partnership with three non-profit organizations, in a Social Responsibility strategy that aims to support communities that are experiencing more difficulties during this pandemic period.

AMI – International Medical Assistance, the Vida e Paz Community and the Portuguese Red Cross are the three national institutions that will benefit from the donation of € 1 for each night booked, in reservations made until June 30th.

These institutions are joined by a local institution in the region where each of DHM’s seven hotel units is located, which will reopen from June 1: Praia Verde Boutique Hotel, Vila Monte Farm House, Douro41 Hotel & Spa, Eden Resort , Laguna Resort, The Crest and Vale da Ribeira Residences. Customers will choose which of these institutions they want to donate € 1 per night, selecting their option at the time of booking.

Francisco Moser, Managing Director of DHM, recalls that “the period we are going through, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has put countless people and families at risk, with enormous difficulties in meeting such basic needs as food.

At DHM, we have always had concerns of a social nature and, at such a crucial time like this, it made perfect sense to extend this aid to more institutions that are supporting families, whether through the provision of food, shelter or basic support services. Social.

This partnership with AMI, the Vida e Paz Community and the Portuguese Red Cross allows us to have a national reach in the support provided and we are sure that our customers share our desire to do more for our communities. ”

It should be recalled that, since the beginning of this pandemic period, DHM has offered to collaborate not only with local entities, but also with non-profit organizations, offering accommodation in its hotel units to accommodate elderly people who had to be evacuated from homes and professionals health, or giving meals to all those who are at the forefront of fighting the pandemic.
