The ebankIT, fintech that operates in the area of digital banking transformation, was yesterday distinguished by IAPMEI (Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation) and Turismo de Portugal with the award ‘PME Excellence 2018 – Export’, attributed to only 10 companies of a total of 2378 companies selected to receive PME Excellence status.
Headquartered in Porto, ebankIT holds the most digital banking platform in Portugal, with clients – banks and credit unions – in more than 20 countries.

Founded in 2014, ebankIT has developed a digital platform in Portugal that distinguishes itself by allowing a fast go-to-market of innovative customer experiences in all digital channels, such as mobile banking, home banking, corporate banking, contact center, branch front- office, smartwatch and augmented reality.
After closing the last year with a turnover of € 10m (€ 6m in 2017), ebankIT expects to double this amount by 2019.
The delivery of prizes and PME Excellence 2018 was held yesterday in Braga, with 22% more companies distinguished than in 2017. The awards ceremony was presided over by Prime Minister António Costa in a ceremony that also had the presence of the minister Deputy and the Economy, Pedro Siza Vieira, and the Secretary of State for Economy, João Neves.
According to the organization, the companies that hold the status of PME Excellence employ more than 86600 people, being responsible for a turnover of more than 10 billion Euros, of which 24% is the result of exports.
