The 4th edition of the Aveiro_Síntese 2020 biennial will take place from August 27 to September 20, with 10 electroacoustic music concerts.
Scheduled for the period from 15 to 31 May, the Aveiro_Síntese 2020 Biennial was suspended in March due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, but complying with all the distancing and sanitation rules, it is already rescheduled from August 27 to 20 September. The event offers three weeks with 10 concerts spread across Aveiro starting on August 27, Thursday, with Hugo Simões at Igreja das Carmelitas. the next day, Friday, we have Carlos Santos and João Carlos Pinto.
On the 29th we can see the German film “Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari” with live music by Tiago Cutileiro and Marta Navarro, and to end the week, on Sunday, it is the turn of the first of two ars ad hoc concerts.
The concerts of days 28, 29, and 30 will be held in the cloister of the Igreja da Misericórdia.
The following week starting on Thursday, September 3rd, we can hear La Lontananza Nostalgica Utopica Futura in the cloister of the Igreja da Misericórdia, and on Friday, we have the second ars ad hoc concert at Teatro Aveirense.
On Saturday, September 5, the XXI Orchestra performs at Pátio do GrETUA, and on Sunday we can watch Nova Música para Novos Músicos at Teatro Aveirense.
To finish the 4th edition of the Aveiro_Síntese biennial, we can listen to Nuno Aroso on the 19th of September and a concert of acousmatic music on the 20th, at Teatro Aveirense.
In 2018, obtaining sustained support from the General Directorate of the Arts and the partnership established with Teatro Aveirense/Aveiro Municipality came to affirm a new stage in the brief history of the event that, meanwhile, managed to involve more people, both in interpretation and creation, or in the enjoyment of electroacoustic music.
