Espinho Music Festival postponed

Promoted by the Espinho Music Academy, which also manages the Professional School of Music of that same municipality in the district of Aveiro, the festival was usually held in June and July, in a combination of free and paid concerts, but is now rescheduled for the last quarter of the year due to health conditions imposed on the cultural sector by the covid-19 pandemic.

The 2020 edition will once again count on the support of the Municipality of Espinho and will take to different stages of the city artists of different nationalities, recognized for their instrumental or vocal performance in fields from chamber music to jazz.

The event’s poster has not yet been released, but on its new dates, the festival will “interweave with the regular schedule of the Espinho Auditorium”, the Academy’s mother room, which the organization believes will reinforce the offer cultural heritage in a period that is usually more generous in terms of shows.

The expectation is that this will result in a very consistent and comprehensive range of proposals, certainly mobilizing and able to make its contribution to the dynamics of artistic creation, cultural programming and the enjoyment of art that everyone aspires to find in its most authentic expression after the constraints determined by the current pandemic.
