The premiere is scheduled for October 29 and the play will remain on the scene until November 15, in the auditorium of A Moagem, following all the safety rules established by the General Directorate of Health in the context of the pandemic.
Named ‘A Avenida, de Salazar a Kubitschek’, the play now covers the experiences of the emblematic fundanense artery in the 1960s of the 20th century and represents the 40th creation of this theater company, which is based in Fundão, district of White Castle.
The play also proposes a reflection on what, on January 12, 1963, the unexpected city of Fundão meant shouting at the top of its lungs, on Avenida Salazar, through a crowd never seen there, as if there were no tomorrow, ‘Brazil! Brazil! Brazil! Brazil!’.
The show features dramaturgy and staging by Nuno Pino Custódio in co-creation with Joana Poejo, Patrícia Raposo, Pedro Fino and Tiago Poiares.
The interpretation is by Joana Poejo and Tiago Poiares, the plastic design is by Patrícia Raposo and the light design by Pedro Fino.
