The Higher School of Technology and Management (ESTG), of the Piaget de Almada Institute, has just achieved maximum accreditation, for the period of 6 years, assigned by the Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency (A3ES).
The distinction recognizes the work of excellence in training that has been developed consistently for several years by this School, whose training offer is mainly directed towards applied research, favoring the development of skills such as innovation and critical analysis.
ESTG offers several courses, mainly in the technological area, namely, a degree in Computer Engineering; and the higher professional technical courses (CTeSP) of Data Analysis in Information Management; Administrative Advisory and Management; Cybersecurity, Networks and Computer Systems; Commercial Management and Sales Force; and Programming on Web, Devices and Mobile Applications.
This year, the advanced training in Information Management and Data Protection was also launched.
For the director of the School of Technology and Management, Ricardo Simões Santos, “the accreditation for another 6 years reflects the daily work that the faculty and students of the institution have developed, with the implementation of an educational plan according to the challenges of transition digital that today’s society presents”.
The academic responsible also adds that “the structured bet on courses that enable students to face technological challenges has boosted the growth and development of the school”. A good example, he concludes, is the fact that “the demand for topics related to Data Science, Programming and Cybersecurity has been increasing.”
