Estoril hosts World Paracycling Championship next year

The 2021 World Cycling Championship taking place in Portugal was rescheduled for between June 9th and 13th, announced today the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).

The races will be held at the Estoril Circuit, expecting hundreds of participants and companions, in a special edition of the Worlds, since, in 2020, due to the pandemic, the competition did not take place.

Portugal was preparing to host the World Championship in August 2021, but the passage of the Paralympic Games for the next year forced a change of plans, which ends up valuing the competition that will be disputed in the municipality of Cascais.

Between June 9th and 13th, the best paracyclists in the world will have at the Estoril Circuit races a unique opportunity to compete at the highest level, preparing for the Paralympic Games, scheduled for August 24 to September 5, 2021.
