Estoril Sol donates 700 community masks to the Estoril Parish Center

For the combat the Covid-19 pandemic crisis

In order to support the containment of the dissemination of Covid-19, Estoril Sol donated 700 community masks to the Estoril Parish Center, a Private Institution of Social Solidarity – IPSS, of the Santo António, do Estoril Parish. The donation of this individual and reusable protection material aims to reinforce the prevention of contagion in the community to the new coronavirus that remains at the centre of the concerns of the country and the world in general.

António Vieira Coelho, Executive Director of Estoril Sol, was welcomed by Gonçalo Corrêa d’Oliveira, Executive Director of the Parish Center of Estoril, who welcomed this solidarity initiative, expressing his gratitude for the timely donation.

According to António Vieira Coelho, “this donation is part of a set of other relevant social responsibility actions that Estoril Sol has regularly implemented, constituting a new contribution to safeguard the health and well-being of a few hundred most needy families in the region of Cascais ”.

It should also be noted that the community masks donated by Estoril Sol were produced manually by some of its employees who are part of the wardrobe section of Casino Estoril.

After delivering the masks, Gonçalo Corrêa d’Oliveira invited António Vieira Coelho to visit the modern facilities of the Estoril Parish Center, which globally provides support to around 800 needy people. On a guided tour, Gonçalo Corrêa d’Oliveira explained the working model of the different centres of the Parish Center of Estoril, such as the Day Center, Colégio Sra. Da Boa Nova, Kindergarten, Preschool and, furthermore, the Auditorium that usually hosts programs of a playful and cultural nature.

The mission of the Estoril Parish Center is to contribute to human dignity by promoting solidarity, education and community and social integration. It consists of a vast team of more than 200 employees and about 200 volunteers. This IPSS is mainly dedicated to the elderly and families at risk, but also to the educational area, from the nursery to the 9th grade. In the area of ​​culture, there is a large auditorium that organizes concerts and theatres, which are an asset to the entire community. And the Sra. Boa Nova Church allows to serve and welcome the surrounding community and extends the effective presence of the Estoril Parish.
