Yesterday, was Europa League night for the Portuguese teams in the competition and unfortunately, none remained. FC Porto played with Leverkusen and left defeated 3-1.
With a goal by the visitors in the 10th minute, the team couldn’t manage in the best way. Many failed passes, little organization and lack of concentration were a few of the errors of the Portuguese team in this match.
After the break, Leverkusen was stronger and scored two more goals leaving the home team’s dream of the competition shattered with goals by Alario (50′) and Demirbay (57′).
FC Porto managed to reduce the disadvantage with a header by Marega on the 65th minute, but ended the game with only ten players as Soares was sent off for hitting an elbow in a Leverkusen defender.
