Fado night at Casino Estoril with Matilde Cid and Sérgio da Silva

With a significant influx of audiences, fado nights continue at Casino Estoril with a series of intimate shows.

Matilde Cid and Sérgio da Silva will perform, next Wednesday, February 5th, at 10 pm, in Lounge D. The fadistas will be accompanied by Diogo Lucena Quadros on guitar, Luís Roquette on viola and Francisco Gaspar on bass guitar. Admission is free.

Matilde Cid grew up in a family of musicians. Fado has become your favourite genre. with a sweet and melodious voice, Matilde approaches the Lisbon song in a very particular way. “PURO”, the debut album, was released in September 2019.

Sergio da Silva
Sérgio da Silva started music at the age of 6, and two years later, fado emerged as a “joke”. At the age of nine, he won the Great Night of Fado at Teatro São Luís and was subsequently awarded in several competitions. Having completed the 4th degree of Musical Education at the Regional Conservatory of Setúbal, he studied singing with Helena Vieira and currently continues with master José Carvalhinho. At 18, Sérgio has been singled out as one of the great hopes of fado.

The fado cycle at Lounge D continues on the 12th with Joana Amendoeira and António Vasco Moraes. Subsequently, Carmo Moniz Pereira and Peu Madureira take the stage on the 19th, while the trio “Fado Marialva” will be the protagonist on the 26th of February.

Access to Casino Estoril is free, and from 10 pm, it is for people over 14 years old, and over 10 years old accompanied by their parents. In the game areas, it is for over 18 years.
