The cycle of fado continues to be featured on the Estoril Lounge D’s musical entertainment nights.
João Guiomar and Maria Vicente will host, next Wednesday, January 15, at 10 pm, an intimate show. The singers will be accompanied by Diogo Lucena Quadros on guitar, Luís Roquette on guitar and Francisco Gaspar on bass guitar. Admission is free.

João Guiomar early aroused the fado feeling and began to sing fado in childhood and youth. He participated in radio and television programs and attended several fado houses. In addition to participating in various events around the country, he has travelled abroad several times. In their interpretations, there is always the concern of singing the great national poets. The work that has now materialized arises as a need to expand a maturing state of mind that translates into “Fados d’Alma”.
Maria Vicente
Maria Vicente gave her voice to Fado for the first time among friends and responding to one of their requests. Since then it has sought to deepen this unique way of singing and so different from the liturgical choirs where, since childhood, she made her musical career as a soprano. She was selected to do an artistic residency at Café Luso, to join the cast of the Grand Gala of Fado, has sung on Radio Amalia and has sung in various fado houses, restaurants and private events. Soon, it will be part of a new project called “Roots of Dancing Fado”, with shows planned throughout the country.
Fado nights at Lounge D continue with Maria da Nazaré and António Passão on the 22nd, and subsequently Gonçalo Castelbranco and Matilde Antunes on the 29th of January.
Access to Casino Estoril is free, and from 10 pm, it is for over 14 years, and over 10 years accompanied by parents. In the areas of the game is for over 18 years.
