It is the great Spanish fashion and clothing fair and Portugal emerges as one of the protagonists. Portuguese design and industry have a prominent presence at Momad Madrid, from 6 to 8 February, with a strong entourage of From Portugal brands presenting a wide range of novelties to the international public.
From classic fashion to streetwear, from formal wear to beachwear, from footwear to accessories, the Portuguese industry again shows in Madrid how it is an essential part of the main international fashion trends. From 6 to 8 April, fashion and design Made in Portugal will be present at Momad, the main Spanish fair in the sector, where more than 15 thousand professionals are expected, including designers, buyers, businessmen and journalists.
Concreto, Cristina Barros, Christina Félix, Kalisson | Bagoraz | Le Cabestan, Kitess, Loco Luxo, Maloka | Paul Brial | G’OZE, Marita Moreno, Philomena, Scusi and Skulk make up the vast entourage From Portugal, which participates in the Madrid fair with the support of Associação Selectiva Moda, to which the Lion of Porches is also present. With the guarantee of being able to close new contacts and agreements in the international market, Portuguese brands seek to stand out for their boldness in the proposals and for the presentation of a vast catalog of news.
Expectations are also high at Marita Moreno’s stand. Last year – the first time it participated in the event – the brand was awarded the ‘Fashion, Sustainability and Business’ award, given by the fair’s organizers, and this year the big challenge will be to maintain the upward route. “The spotlight will be on our brand, because of the prize”, summarizes Marita Setas Ferro, CEO and designer of the brand. “The collection presented will be from FW2021 which is inspired by‘ The meaning of life and the belief in humanity ’”, announces the person in charge of the brand. With this point of departure, Marita Moreno will present a new collection of bags, backpacks, shoes, sneakers and other accessories, produced mainly with sustainable materials, such as cork, pinatex (obtained from pineapple leaves) and recycled microfiber and bio-leather.
