The city of Faro receives the sixth edition of Festival F from today, with concerts to be held even in Ria Formosa.
The poster includes names like Ornatos Violeta, Carolina Deslandes, ProfJam and Mayra Andrade.
Until Saturday, Festival F will bring to Faro Old Town dozens of concerts, comedy shows, exhibitions and other activities, highlighting the novelty that is the concerts on a boat in Ria Formosa, with Benjamim, Valter Lobo and MoMo.
The festival’s poster dedicated to Portuguese music spans several generations and genres, from ProfJam and David Carreira to Bruno Pernadas, Corona Ensemble, Blasted Mechanism, Glockenwise, Mayra Andrade, Amor Electro, Antonio Zambujo, Stone Dead, Captain Fausto and Carolina Deslandes, among others.
The organization stresses that this will be the last of four concerts that Ornatos Violeta gave to remember the album “O Monstro Precisa de Amigos” (“The Monster Needs Friends“), released in 1999.
The proposals are between pop, rock and hip hop by big names in Portuguese national music.
As part of the festival, it will also be possible to visit exhibitions at the Galleries Train and Arch, as well as at the Municipal Museum.
Festival F is an initiative of the Faro City Council, the Faro Municipal Theater, Ambifaro and the producer Sons em Transit.
