Festival takes Converge, Cradle of Filth … and elderly ‘Metalleros’ to Vagos

The Vagos metal festival kicks off today, and until Sunday, it will host bands like Cradle of Filth, Converge and Enslaved, but also the visit of a group of users of the Community Center of Gafanha do Carmo.

The festival, which is dedicated to the most extreme trends in music, will be visited by a “group of five elderly people, users of the Community Center of Gafanha do Carmo”, who will be present “dressed in exact clothing and look ‘metal’ “said the institution.

“We will attend concerts, visit the venue, meet with festivals and artists at the invitation of the organization that has accepted our initiative very much,” they added.

On the first day of the event, at Quinta da Ega, the poster will feature the Portuguese Impera, Booby Trap, Destroyers of All, Thirty-One, Theriomorphic and Analepsy, as well as InSammer, Dust Bolt and Orphaned Land.

On Friday, the festival of Vagos receives, among others, the Brazilian Ratos de Porão, the Portuguese Serrabulho and Moonspell, before the headlines of the day: Converge and Cradle of Filth, the latter as part of the tour presentation of the disc “Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness of Decay,” released last year.

Saturday will feature bands such as Simbiose, Cannibal Holocaust, Bölzer, Enslaved, Sonata Artica and Kamelot, while on Sundays it will be possible to attend Suicidal Tendencies concerts, Ensiferium, Municipal Waste, Integrity, among others, including the Swiss Schammasch, added to poster this week in replacement of Sinister.

At the beginning of August, the organization of the event revealed through Facebook that for the first time in the history of the festival, which was born in 2016, after the departure to Corroios of the Vagos Open Air, they reached 15% of foreign visitors.

“A clear sign of growth for this festival, which is made by metal fans, for metal fans, with few sponsorships, but a lot of effort and delivery of a team that does not look at the means to guarantee an unparalleled experience to this family,” he added. the organization.
