The 51st edition of the festival was supposed to take place in Nyon, between 17 April and 2 May, but the organization decided to readjust the programming so that it could exist, in an unprecedented way, only on the Internet.
In the competition are two Portuguese works, both in debut, by two filmmakers who have been to the festival before: “Amor Fati”, by Cláudia Varejão, in the feature films section, and “Would you rather”, by Laura Marques, in the shorts. -metrages.
The film can be viewed on the festival’s website, but only on Swiss territory. There is no release date yet.
Laura Marques will debut at the festival the short film “Would you rather”, shot in Romania, with the participation of inhabitants of the locality of Slon, which is built from a succession of dilemmas in search of answers, explained the director in a video released by Visions du Réel.
The festival, which will also pay tribute to French filmmaker Claire Denis, ends on May 2.
