Filipe Lima closes first round of Provença Open in ninth place

Portuguese golfer José-Filipe Lima is one of the ninth in the Open of Provença in France after finishing the first round of the Challenge Tour tournament with 69 strokes, three under par.

The Portuguese entered five birdies (one under par) and one double-bogey (two over) in the inaugural round of the Pont Royal course.

Ricardo Santos is one of 63rd-ranked golfers with 73 shots, one over par, while Tomás Santos Silva is at the bottom of the table at 122 with 80 strokes, eight over par.

Frenchman Jeong-Weon Ko leads the race with 64 strokes, eight under par, ahead of Canadian Aaron Cockerill, who has 66 shots, six under par.

The Provença Open runs until Sunday at the Pont Royal camp.
