First medal for Portugal in acrobatic gymnastics

The first bronze medal was won for Portugal at the II European Games, by Bárbara Sequeira, Francisca Maia and Francisca Sampaio Maia, in Minsk.

The trio added 28,520 points, behind Belarus with 29,520, and Belgium with 29,230 in the finals of the balance tests.

In these II European Games, 4,000 athletes from 50 countries participate in 15 sports, Portugal is represented by 98 elements in the following disciplines:
athletics, badminton, beach soccer, canoeing, cycling – road, counter and track, gymnastics – artistic, trampolines, aerobics and acrobatics, judo, karate, amateur fights, shooting, archery, shooting with hunting guns and table tennis.
