Jorge Jesus’s Flamengo won and reinforced the lead, now with eight points more than the second, beating Atlético Mineiro 3-1 at home.
Flamengo faced many casualties, not only with some injuries but also due to the squad for the Brazilian team, but had a great display of Victor Vinicius Coelho Santos, known for Vitinho, with two assists and a goal.
Flamengo dominated the match, with William Arão scoring early in the first half after 37 ‘, after a corner from Vitinho’s left.
In the second half, Reinier almost made the second, 47 minutes, but, at 51, Atletico Mineiro managed to restore the equality, by Nathan, the former Belenense player.
But the Portuguese coach’s team, 10 minutes later, scored again for Vitinho. Flamengo then went looking for the third, Rodolfo on 68 minutes and Bruno Henrique on 72 threatened without success, but Reinier on 76, did not lose, with new assistance from Vitinho.
